SB Dunk High Atlas Lost at Sea (2020)
Description
A storm in the 1990s caused the loss of more than 60,000 pairs of Nike shoes while a ship was crossing from Korea to the United States. It is from this event nicknamed “Great Shoe Spill of 1990” that the Californian skateshop Atlas and Nike SB revisited the Nike Dunk High . Pairs found themselves stranded on the coast of California, including Air Flight 89s.
The Nike SB Dunk High Atlas Lost at Sea 2020 has an upper in off-white cracked suede to which are added sky blue inserts in the same material on the swoosh , the outsole as well as on the tongue specific to the Air Flight 89 with the recognizable typography, on which we find “ Nike SB Atlas ”. The cream-colored laces combine perfectly with the patinated midsole to recreate the effect in which the pairs were found after their drift for several months in the ocean.
Highlighting an event that left its mark, Nike SB comes back strong and pleases the community!
